I'm so excited to be tinkering with some different products! This is a lavender coconut oil bar. Its good for perfume, or just for softer smoother skin. I am still working on perfecting it, but eventually this will be added to my store too. I really love how it looks! Does anyone else make anything? Attachments:

I've never made homemade products like you have but I would love to learn!! I love shopping at Lush (a bath and body store with all natural handmade products) but it tends to be really pricy. If you have any advice or tips on making homemade body care products I would love to know also Shea butter is really good too to use for a bar bc coconut oil can clog the pores on your face and make you break out (unless that oil bar isn't meant for the face, then my bad).

I haven't used it on my face, I thought something like that might happen. But I appreciate the heads up. I will probably have to specify that for any labeling in the future. So what kind of products are you looking for? I tinker with a few different things. Mostly 'Bath Brews' which are herbal bath mixes, Herbal Sugar Scrubs, and now the oil bar. I'm still figuring everything out. But depending on what you're looking for, I can send you any tips I've learned over the past few months.

Also I'm very new to all my little creations. I've only been doing this few a few months. Trial and error have been my best teachers by far.

I don't really take baths but I would love to know about your sugar scrubs and oil bars! Especially the sugar scrub you made with lavender I think it was?? That looked and sounded amazing.

OH MY GOSH IT IS!! I've been using it non stop since I made it! Basically, I just mixed coconut oil and sugar until it was a consistency I wanted - A dry but still saturated mix - and then I used my mortar and pestle to grind up the lavender a bit and release the oils and then mixed it in to the mix. VOILA! Super simple, easy, and amazing!

I LOVE lavender too that's why I just had to know how you made that scrub 😍 I unfortunately only have some lavender seeds (at least I think that's what they are, they most definitely smell like lavender) that I got for free, can I use those or do you grind actual fresh lavender plants? I need to buy some fresh lavender tbh I just have no clue where to get it around here.

Lavender seeds? Can you post a picture? Most Lavender (off the stem) looks like little purple seeds. But it's the actual lavender. I've heard of people ordering offline, but I have a store here in Houston I buy from. I really want to branch out, I have lots of herbs and dried flowers but Lavender is so fragrant, its nice to work with for learning purposes.

I saw two just like the one I bought from a specialty store for MUCH cheaper - like 6-7 bucks at Marshalls! It was in the cookware section! So, I recommend going and looking there!
