This is to discuss ways that you do or can incorporate Cannabis use into your craft. Suggestions, links, or anything should be shared!
I also added a poll so we can gauge if anyone here uses it for their craft. Please don't feel obligated to share if you're not comfortable.

For those who voted - They've always wanted to try. Would you be comfortable elaborating?

For those who voted - They've always wanted to try. Would you be comfortable elaborating? Like I mentioned in a different thread, I smoke recreationally/medically but have never thought of any ways to use cannabis in my craft. If you have any ideas of how to incorporate it into spells/rituals or even just spiritually, I would love to hear!

So I use it different ways, sometimes before reading tarot I'll smoke and work on meditating the opening of my 3rd eye. That sounds corny but I try and imagine that my mind is rolling back and opening itself to an unseen realm. I will elaborate more a little later. I have not used it in any spells as an ingredient but I have used it for inspiration.

There's a long history of using different drugs to get to a different state of being. As long as they aren't harmful, I think it's a brilliant idea!
I've never smoked before, so I'm sort of scared of it x] I feel the only way I would feel comfortable doing it is in a witchy setting, funnily enough. Food for thought for me I guess

My dad actually introduced me to it. I was already smoking cigs at 10 so I think he sort of assumed I was smoking other things lol. His sentiment was, If you're going to do it, you're going to do it with me. What is it about it that scares you? Myths, or feelings, or hearsay? I'd love to discuss it!

Hmm, feelings, probably. I just take a lot of medication, and I know how sensitive my body is to chemical changes. I'm afraid of having a bad reaction, I guess. I also don't like the idea of feeling hazy? idk

Hmm, feelings, probably. I just take a lot of medication, and I know how sensitive my body is to chemical changes. I'm afraid of having a bad reaction, I guess. I also don't like the idea of feeling hazy? idk I can really relate to this. After my mom died my Nana had me diagnosed and medicated from the time I was 11 until I decided to stop at 19. And sometimes I would still go back to my anxiety meds. I also have weirdly adverse effects to a lot of medications. That being said, I personally have never had a negative effect from smoking while medicated, drinking, or even on drugs like DMT, mushrooms, acid or X. (I was very experimental back in the day) But, being afraid of a bad reaction, having that fear, it's possible you could psych yourself out. I've done that in the past with salvia (which is a hallucinogen, very very different from canabis). I'm a firm believer in manifestation of your thoughts and energies. If you choose to smoke I would recommend a free day with someone you trust with your entire self. Especially if you're trying to put your mind at ease. Now that "hazy" feeling you described sounds like an indica strand. It's main purpose is to sedate, with a full relaxation mode. It's recommended for anxiety, insomnia, muscle spasms and pain. Not my personal favorite. I like to smoke and be energized to get things done. I prefer the sativa strains. It sparks creativity and brings an uplifted feeling. It's used for depression, ADD, mood disorders. I love smoking this before creating art or reading tarot. It's like it sparks my creative fuse and BOOM! Art. Personal favorite is the Sour Deisel strain. So again if you decide to smoke, I recommend a Sativa. It won't leave you feeling hazy. And after finding out how you feel, react, and like it or not, then you can decide if it's something you would want to incorporate into your practice.

Damn I didn't realize there were different kinds! This is super helpful, thank you so much.
I (hopefully) won't need all the meds I'm on forever but tbh they are really, really helpful. It was a pain in the ass to find the right combination, and sometimes it needs a boost or a tweak, but I can't imagine a normal life without them rn. Even if I delay refilling one for three days (I'm just being lazy and not going to CVS, but I really should).

I completely understand what you mean. I remember being on antidepressants, anxiety meds, sleep meds, mood stabilizers, etc. always tweeting and trying to find the right mix. If you've found it, I'm so happy for you! That's one of the hardest aspects of being medicated. Personally, I won't ever go back to that. Long story, but I absolutely understand and support those who do use them and need them.
