I'm curious to see how you guys cast/chant your spells. Do you just say them, sing, or just use thought? I primarily use thought, but I am also bi-lingual and have been playing around with the idea of using my second language more in my practice. My second language is American Sign Language, so it's still very "silent." Is anyone else bi-lingual? if you are do you use your second language in your practice?

I don't personally stick to one way of casting my spells, I love to mix it up actually. Recently I've been focusing more on energy magick where sometimes I don't even need to move at all during an entire spell/ritual, I just focus on the energy. Then there are other times where I'll be elaborate and use different ingredients and whatnot for a spell. I also don't think chanting has to rhyme to work, I've done spells where I just recite my intention because I'm not super creative enough to think of rhymes on the spot during some spells/rituals. I love that your second language is ASL! I just studied it for a semester and love it and want to be fluent in it after Spanish (which I would love to incorporate into my spells b/c it's such a pretty language).

I am the same way Aeris, I just do what feels right for each casting. Sometimes I feel that speaking/chanting works best to focus my energy, and sometimes simple thought will do it. I love languages and know a little of a lot of them, but sadly I'm not skilled enough to be considered fluent. I do LOVE ASL, and have been teaching myself since high school. I think that's an awesome and very visual form of casting. I think that would be fun and interesting to try.

Seem my thing is with using ASL is that when I cast I like to go very old English with my spells, and ASL for me is more modern. So the interpretation would be very difficult.
